Fishing in Russia
I went to Russia this summer. The first thing I did was go to my friend Jenias place. His house is just right on the river. The river is so wide that it looks like a lake when you look at it first. If you go and look down the river you'll see that it is a river because there is land on both sides and it doesn't have land in the middle. I think it should qualify as a lake.
The place that I stayed at had a beautiful garden. It had plenty of berries to go around. They had black currants, chokeberry, raspberry, and other Russian berries that you will not find in most places of the world.
The best part about the trip was the fishing. I think if I where to talk about this place the first thing I would talk about would be the fishing. I caught massive fish. Right after I caught the fish in a boat we would put a stringer in its mouth and out its gills and it would be attached to the boat on a string. We would motor away towards land in the boat. When we would get home we would put the fish into a bucket and then it would be belly up and almost dead from being in the boat.
Some things that we made with the fish were dumplings, fried fish, and fish soup. When we where making the fish dumplings I made a lucky dumpling. The lucky dumpling would contain a ton of pepper and a sprinkle of salt.
When we were eating the dumplings, on the first batch of dumplings that we ate, my grandpa got the lucky one. He put it in his mouth and was quiet for roughly 10 seconds and then he spit out the dumpling and drank a lot of water. It was fun. I hid a laugh. After that I went outside and played darts. I got a bulls eye on my first try.
Maybe it was my second try.
Next time I go to Russia I'll catch an even bigger fish than last time and my dad will make me write about Russia again.
