Snowboarding in Tahoe
I snowboard in Tahoe. This is the 3rd day of my first time of the season. When I got back on the board, I was riding very smoothly. Last year I had to start riding on the bunny slopes, and I forgot how to snowboard. Now let's get on the slope!
Today I was out on the mountain with my friend that has skis.
We went on a slope called Cornice and we could barely see about 2-3 feet in front of us, It was our first time on the lift. It was a double black diamond. It was fresh powder snow because it was snowing very heavily on us. There were so many jumps on that mountain.
Snowboarding is a really fun activity/sport. It's not that safe. There is a lot of falling in this sport, but that doesn’t make me give up snowboarding and stop. When it snows, we have to get a lot of stuff on our face because the snow will get in every crack of your clothes.
Some safety recommendations are:
Always wear a helmet. I saw someone get hit on the head by a tree and got knocked out. It was pretty freaky.
Wear warm clothes. Remember, you could get frostbite if you are too cold.
Don’t do something stupid or to dangerous, for example, go through a lot of trees then hit your head and get knocked out.
Stop when your body tells you. If your body is tired but you really really want to do a couple more runs down the mountain, don’t do it. You will have a hard time getting down the mountain.
