Curry Leaf Crown

My mom and I were walking on our porch one morning and we saw a man with a crown made out of leaves. We asked him, “Where did you get that?”

He said, “It’s made out of curry leaf! If you want to have some, I can give them to you.”

We said, “Ok, that would be wonderful!”

He gave me a bundle of curry leaves that were not made into a crown yet. He said, “I got these from the forest right next to us.” They were beautiful!

The forest also has stuff like coconut trees, areca trees, jackfruit trees, and coffee fruit. We didn’t even know that there were curry leaf trees in the forest. We have coconuts all the time for lunch, breakfast, snack, and dinner. It is usually shredded. We also have jackfruit all the time. We have jack fruit for lunch mostly. The jackfruit is cooked like curry with rice.

He said that to make a crown, if we don’t have any rope you can just use a flexible coconut leaf. He said that the crown takes away flies from bugging you when you sit outside.

I made my own curry leaf crown using coconut leaf to tie the curry leaves together on both ends and TADA it is made! : }
