The Queen’s Gallery at Buckingham Palace
In the Queen’s Gallery at Buckingham Palace, there were soldiers guarding. We smelled the Queen’s dinner, and most importantly looked at the art with audio recordings. Queen Elizabeth the second lives there.
Soldiers Guarding the Queen’s Gallery
The soldiers guarding the Queen's Gallery were a little scary. Both of the soldiers have a really heavy duty machine gun. There were some school kids trying to make the soldiers laugh, but my mom told me that they were trained to not laugh.
Smelling the Queen’s Dinner
My mom and I were in the Queen’s Gallery and we smelled some food emanating from under some vents of the floor. It smelled like some chicken and kale. I asked one of the workers, “Are we smelling the Queen’s dinner?”
The worker said, “Yes, you are. the royal kitchen is right beneath the floor.” We were so excited. She added, “If you look through this stained glass door, you’ll see the Queen’s back yard.”
The yard was beautiful. There even was a swing.
Looking at the Art with Audio Recordings
We started looking at the art with audio recordings. The audio recordings came in this big recording box with headphones. They were even for free. They were used for telling stories about some famous paintings. It also told us about the artists.
We saw some really awesome paintings. For example, there was this self portrait of this good artist Sir Peter Paul Rubens, and it was the only one in the world. They looked so good. I thought someone took a picture of it.
